Golf is a sport that is loved and adored by millions of people worldwide. What began as a great past time years ago has become the stuff that The Golf Channel is made of. The enticement of hitting that small white ball has become one of the world’s most popular games. It ranks up there with baseball football and basketball. Purchasing a golf club or a set of golf clubs is an important decision. When looking into your next purchase, take your time and look around at various outlets but also take a look at a golf club review. This review will typically give you all the information you need about a particular golf club or set of clubs. It will tell you how sturdy the clubs are, how they performed in a game, as well as typical price range for the item.

Many golf club reviews can be found in popular magazines as well as online. A golf club review can mean the difference in buying a quality club or a bad one. It will tell you which dealers have the highest quality products as well as which of them provide golf club fitting. A person who is writing a golf club review will individually test each product. They have first hand knowledge of how each club functions in the golfing environment. There are so many dealers of golf clubs and golfing items that it can be very hard to pick a dealer to purchase from.

The advantage you get from golf club reviews is an unsolicited opinion from someone who has tried the product you are researching and how they recommend it from thier experience. You could even write a golf club review yourself on various websites. If you decide to do these make sure that you have personally tested the golf club that you are writing about. If not then you’re not in a position to be an evaluator of a product. A good golf club review should have:

Type of Equipment = Is it a driver, wood, irons, wedges, or putter?
Who makes the club? What dealer is it?
Make sure your review is recent. No one wants to read a review on a 1974 club.
Be descriptive and specific. Don’t just say “hey this is a great club”. Answer “why” it is a great club. What makes it so great. If you did not have a good experience with the product make sure to inform your reader what properties or qualities made it so.
Be sure you have the exact name of the equipment. Several club makers make different versions or models of a club. List the full make and model that you are talking about.

A good golf club review can mean the difference in a golfer buying a club or leaving it at the store. Take each review into careful consideration when making your decision. However, Don’t just take one review as the gospel. Do your homework and compare several reviews about the same equipment. Keep in mind these reviews are only the thoughts of the reviewer. A small investment in time and research will pay off in getting the best equipment that is right for you.

One of the questions that I think a lot of people would like to know is, “how long will it take to fix my golf swing.” Below, I have outlined the various methods. As you read them, it will be up to you to figure out the best approach.

Swing Fix 1 – Buying New Equipment

Every golfer has bought new clubs at one time or another to help change their game.   Now, I don’t want to totally discount this fix because buying new clubs can improve your golf game if you’re playing the wrong clubs, or your clubs are not properly fitted to you and your swing. The best thing you can do, is to seek out a professional clubfitter to have your swing checked and club professtionally fitted to you.

There’s another little know way that buying new clubs can fix your swing. Newer clubs feel different from your old clubs.Because they feel different, hitting shots with them causes you to take your mind off of your swing. This new feeling totally clears your mind but it doesn’t last long.  After a couple of weeks of using a new club(s), it no longer feels different so you go right back to thinking about your swing again. So, you really shouldn’t be trying all these new clubs.

As I said earlier, your best bet is to seek out a clubfitter and have him fit you.  Then, work on your swing.

Swing Fix 2 – Swing Tips

We’ve all picked up the latest golf magazine and tried the latest golf tips hoping they will magically get our game back on track.  The problem is, most people don’t know their swing well enough to determine if, in fact, these tips would apply to their swing. If you don’t know your swing well enough and you keep trying these tips, you may make your swing worse. Plus, a tip is just a tip.  It’s not necessarily going to improve your fundamentals.

An example of this would be to change to a stronger grip.  Although this tip may cause the face to square better through impact, it isn’t the correct grip.  Be very careful when you’re working on the latest tip in a golf magazine, or from your friend.  A good idea would be to discuss the tip with your head pro or teaching pro first to see if it would be a good fit for your game.Only then should you try it.It it works, that’s fantastic!

Swing Fix 3 – No Focus

So many golfer’s are searching for the instant cure that they get caught up into experimenting with too many changes at once. This approach will never work.  Unfortunately, this is only going to lead to confusion. Also, you may have attempted so many different things that you don’t remember what actually worked. It may have been luck even if you did find something that worked. The way you can truly know if this approach is working is if your game improves well into the future.

Swing Fix 4 – Only Work on 1 Thing

The best way you should work on fixing your swing is to take it one step at a time.  In doing so, you stay focused only on that thing which means you aren’t going to experiment and try 5 different things at once.   In order to work on your swing this way, you need to follow a method or work with a swing coach.By working on your swing this way, you solidify the changes because you are only focused on one thing at a time. Now, I know that you’re probably thinking this is going to take a long time. When you compare way of fixing your swing to the others, you really will getter better, faster this way.

The reason is, the other ways I described only present a short term fix whereas, isolating one part of your swing develops the right fundamentals that will stay with your long into the future.

hollywoodlegend55 asked:

Im 16 years old and Ive been golfing on the range only 2 times. So, I guess you can consider me as a beginner. Are there any good drivers out there that u would recommend? Preferably one under or around $100. B/c im only is HS and I dont make a whole lot of money. I was checking on sports authority’s website and I saw some reviews that said that some had poor construction. I can make some powerful shots as well, (im a football defensive lineman) so id like one that has a sturdy construction and will last me a long time. Thanks :]

Golf is massively popular and as you would expect there are thousands and thousands of sites about it.The difficulty for the amateur golfer is that there is just too much info.

When you go to Google or any other search engine and type in the information you are looking for you will receive a bewildering number of websites that might offer what you are looking for.

As an illustration I have just searched for “buy new seven iron”, without the quotes. The return is 18,600,000 web pages.

That is a real problem.  I am suffering with information overload, particularly as a quick look through the first page of websites suggests a lot of narrow websites rather then a the general overview retailer that i was hoping for

As another example I have tried “golf course in Arizona”.This time we get 3,400,000 web pages returned.

It seemed to me that I should be able to reduce the overload of Google information and find a solution for myself.

After much searching I found it.

My solution was simple; my own personal golf toolbar.  Just in case you don’t know toolbars are the lines of icons that sit above the main window of your computer screen.

In the toolbar I put in my favorite golfing websites so that whenever I wanted golf information it was there at the top of my screen every time I was online. The result was I could visit my favorite course finder, retailer and news center as I wanted.  No more messing about with Google and facing a bewildering choice of websites.

I use Google rarely now for golf searches and just rely on the toolbar most of the time.

I thought that it would be a good idea to share my golf toolbar and so here it is.Its free for everybody to use.It is completely safe and downloads rapidly.

At the moment it has a top golf store, training aid site, news section and a weather forecast, a vacation arranger, utilities, games and loads of other useful stuff.

The Golf Course Finder toolbar.

I find it useful and I hope that others will too.  It is completely free though it’s only fair to point out that if you do buy anything through the retailer on there I do get a commission from them.

Please enjoy the toolbar.

The Golf Information toolbar.

Golf Equipment

Golf equipment includes the various items that are used by the sportsmen who play the sport golf. The types of golf equipment include the golf ball itself, and other implements that are designed for striking the golf ball, such as the golf clubs, and also the other instruments that are used to help in the process of playing a particular stroke. Certain items that enrich the players experience while playing golf can also be included as golf equipments.

The golf balls are one of the most important among the golf equipments. They are made up of special materials, which are used in order to help the ball’s playing characteristics. The ball usually has a diameter of 42.67 mm and is covered by around 300 to 450 dimples. This is to help in the aerodynamics of the ball. The golf balls are divided on the basis of their construction, into three types, namely two-, three-, or the four- piece covers. The four- piece cover golf balls are the most expensive.

Among other golf equipments a player also carries several different types of clubs, which help him to play the game better. There are basically three major types of golf clubs, known as the woods, irons and the putters. The club wood is used to play long shots, either from the tee or the fairway; irons are used for precision shots either from the fairway or from the rough; putters are mostly used when playing on the greens, but can also be used when playing from the bunkers or also for some approach shots.

Other golf equipments can be the golf bags, which can be nylon or leather and are cylindrically constructed; ball markers, which help in marking the place of a ball; and also the golf carts, which help in the transport of the other golf equipments like the clubs and also the players across the greens. Also the golfers use gloves, towels, shoes, and clothes which keep the player comfortable while playing the sport, which can also be included as golf equipments.

Baseball18 asked:

I’ve read some reviews of these clubs, but I’m trying to figure out what kind of set I currently upgraded to (intermediate, advanced, expert, etc.).

I recently purchased:

Driver: TaylorMade R7 Draw, 10.5 degree
3 Wood: Nike Slingshot Hybrid, 20 degree
Irons: Adams Ovation 3 (4-LW)
Putter: Nike Ignite 005

The reason I’m asking is because I want to know if I should upgrade these in few years to a better set, or are these considered a nice set of clubs for an advanced player, which I’m not yet?

Like I said, I did read some reviews on these clubs. I’m just looking for people’s opinions about this particular set.

If anyone has any ideas of good clubs to add to this, I’d be more than willing to listen!
I should add that I upgraded from my beginner set of Knights what were about 10 years old. They were in pretty rough shape…

James and J asked:

I am just taking up the sport and have the option of buying one of two different sets to start out with, could you offer any advice as to which is the best? Don’t factor in price as they are both retailing for the same price because of various discounts that are on offer.

Here is set number 1 – A graphite set from Dunlop: http://www.sportsdirect.com/cat_id/CYSGLFSET/product-Dunlop-MAX-12-Piece-Graphite-Golf-Set–876027.htm

Set number 2 – A titanium/graphite set, also from Dunlop:

I’m looking to make my decision purely on club suitability. The fact that the one set comes with a bag isn’t an issue!

Many thanks.

storytllr1961 asked:

I have “a friend”, who stabbed someone in self defense and the police arrested him and gave him an appearance date, which was apparently just for him to plead guilty or not guilty. However, when he showed up for court, his name was not on the docket and the RCMP had not submitted any paperwork or even appeared. His lawyer presented him to the judge anyway and the judge removed all conditions on him until the police served him, or arrested him, again. My question is, it looks like they reviewed the evidence and decided it wasn’t worth trying to prossecute since the other guy attacked him with a golf club first. Now, how long will he have to worry about the RCMP showing up at his door and arresting him again? Is there a statute of limitations on aggravated assault in Alberta, Canada, and if so, how long is it? Thanks.
