Juventus asked:

Why do you have to clean the dirt out of the grooves in your golf clubs. I’m a beginning golfer and was curious about it. Will it make that much difference in your swing/hit or is it just to keep your clubs nice?

Jessica4321 asked:

I have been offered a position working at a small entry level country club as a beverage cart girl/banquet server. I will make $2.50+tips+18% commission on what I sell. I was also going to apply at a country club that is bigger, more well known, and more expensive, and a municipal golf course that is always very busy, and has very high ratings. I am at a loss as to what to do; does anyone know what it is like to work at a small or large country club or a municipal golf course? Or do you have experience from seeing people work there? I am in a situation where I need to get a job that will pay enough money to be worth it, and that I will enjoy, of course. I am unsure of whether or not to accept this job or wait and see if I can get hired elsewhere. What kind of money can this position generally make in tips on weekdays or weekends, or how much can they sale? Do people generally tip better at small/large country clubs or municipal golf courses, or does it really make no difference? I would love any insight on the position from any perspective! Thanks so, so much and God Bless!

I can get a discount if I use nike so I am partial to nike. I am a beginning golfer and am looking to try out some nike clubs. I thinking about the nike sumo2 irons and the sasquatch 5900 driver. I am thinking about going with a 13 degree driver. Does anyone have any experience with these clubs or a set of nike clubs that is more forgiving. Thanks in advance for all of your help.
Unfortunately, I only get discount on stuff that nike sells now. As in basically one the sumo2 clubs.

I am getting into golf and want to know what all I need to know and get? I have found all of my local golf courses and now just need to get the equipment. What all should I pick up? I am a left handed golfer but I don’t know if that factors into to much. What all do I need and need to know?

Thanks,
ZG
I can’t actually join my schools because we are on the top schools in the state and have a very, very good team.

Thanks,
ZG

David A asked:

Assuming I practice the same way with new, name brand clubs will there be a real difference in my game as opposed to a relatively new generic set? Or should I wait until I begin solving some of the problems I am having now, to buy a new, name brand set?

I recently starting playing golf and I bought a set of clubs from a local sportng goods store. I joined my school’s golf team and the coach told me that for my height the putter that came with my set is too short. For a beginning golfer who’s 5’7″ what would be a good putter for me to buy?

Leah_W asked:

I love playing and started about a year ago but haven’t been able to put too much time into it. I recently quit smoking and instead of eating and gaining weight to replace that habit I would like to dive into golf and learn how to play well. If any one knows of any good beginers websites I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

jabelite asked:

Four coworkers always golfed as a group at 7 A.M. every Sunday.

Unfortunately, one of them was transferred out of town, so they began talking about how they would fill out the foursome.

A woman standing nearby said, “Hey, I like to golf, May I join the group ?”

They were hesitant, but invited her to play a round, after which they would decide whether to bring her in permanently.

They all agreed and she said, “Good, I’ll be there at 6:30 or 6:45.”

She showed up right at 6:30, and wound up setting a course record with a 7-under-par round.

The guys went nuts and everyone in the clubhouse congratulated her.

Meanwhile, she was fun and pleasant the entire round.

The guys happily invited her back the next week and she said, “OK, I’ll be here at 6:30 or 6:45.”

Again, she showed up at 6:30 Sunday morning.

Only this time, she played left-handed and matched her 7-under-par score of the previous week.
By now the guys were totally amazed and they asked her to join the group for keeps.

They had a beer after their round and one of the guys asked her,

“How do you decide if you’re going to golf right-handed or left-handed ?”

She said, “That’s easy. Before I leave for the golf course, I pull the covers off my husband, who sleeps in the nude.

If his pecker is pointing to the right, I golf right-handed.

If it’s pointing to the left, I golf left-handed.”

Another member of the group asked, “What if it’s pointing straight up ?”

She replied, “Then I’ll be here at 6:45.”
